The 2027 PSVetMed weekend will bring veterinary and animal-care colleagues together for discussions and professional education on:

Animal welfare and public health issues in this emerging industry
Applications for veterinary and animal-care professional mental health
Clinical preparedness for animal exposures.
Coalition-building across in-person and virtual communities.

The weekend parallels the 2027 MAPS PS2027 event in Denver, Colorado.

We're excited to connect with the Colorado psychedelic community, the amazing speakers, and the individuals and groups building the emerging human-use psychedelic landscape.

As part of our PSVetMed 2026 conference, we’ll be linking together our virtual and in-person communities before Sunday’s sessions at the 2026 Aspen Psychedelic Symposium.

We'll briefly introduce the topics in psychedelic substances in veterinary medicine that have high priority for community awareness such as:

Psychedelics as mental health support to veterinary professionals
Public health and animal welfare.

Community Interview | Dr. Jim Grigsby

We have the privilege of chatting with innovative researcher and speaker at the 2026 Aspen Psychedelic Symposium - Dr. Jim Grigsby.

Dr. Grigsby is the Executive Director of the recently established Colorado University (CU) Denver Center for Psychedelic Research.

Dr. Grigsby has joined our community before in discussion sessions on therapeutic applications of psychedelics in animals and we’re excited for the opportunity to chat with him again.

SELF-PACED | Clinical Preparedness for Psychedelic Substance Exposure in Animals

Participants receive free access to our 3.5 hour virtual, self-paced training course designed specifically for veterinary and animal-care professionals.

This course focusing on the emerging exposures of animals to psychedelic substances, and is part of an education series that funds our post-exposure medical care scholarship and legal defense fund scholarships.

The course intended to provide colleagues with awareness and clinical preparedness information as human interest in these substances and paralleling risk of animal exposures increase.
