Keep Animals Safe

Harm Reducation Education (HRE), Safety Actions
& Exposure Response

Because animal victims can’t speak to their treatment, human action is required to recognize cruelty and neglect, and alert agencies or organizations authorized and trained to investigate reports of concern for animal welfare.

If you have witnessed or have direct knowledge of a licensed natural medicine facilitator violating safety protocols, service animal ethics, or animal welfare standards, it is critical to log a formal report.

Regulatory accountability protects both human participants and non-human animals,
Reporting in Colorado

If you have knowledge that a licensed facilitator has potentially violated 4 CCR 755-1 Natural Medicine Rules, take action - submit a formal complaint directly via the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

If a licensed facilitator or associated professional engages in misconduct that violates the practice acts of secondary credentials (such as medical licensing, mental health therapy, or nursing), separate complaints should also be filed with the respective boards for that area of practice.

Reporting awareness should be exercised at all levels of licensing.  In Colorado, DORA regulates all of the following licenses.

  • Healing Center: Authorizes a commercial facility to host preparation, administration, and integration sessions.
  • Cultivation Facility: Authorizes the commercial growth and propagation of regulated natural medicine (specifically psilocybin and psilocin).
  • Product Manufacturer: Authorizes the processing, formulation, packaging, and manufacturing of regulated natural medicine products.
  • Testing Facility: Authorizes independent scientific testing for potency, contaminants, and product safety compliance.
  • Natural Medicine Business Owner: Mandatory personal license for any proposed owner or stakeholder exercising financial or operational control over an NMD licensed business.
  • Natural Medicine Handler: Mandatory individual license for employees, independent contractors, or staff who do not own the business but have unrestricted access to or physically handle regulated natural medicine products (encompassing cultivation, testing, manufacturing, transport, or dispensation).

Our expert witness services are available for veterinary medical, animal care, and public health issues. Many times these services are available at no cost to the family of the injured animal.  Funds for these services are generated by profits from our education classes and community support

We actively support legal interventions that safeguard veterinary professionals, uphold service animal ethics, and hold state compliance bodies accountable. This restricted fund supports animal legal defense, veterinary expert witness services, and animal regulatory advocacy to address unmitigated risks associated with psychedelic substances.

Our Medical Care Scholarships are funded by profits from our community and clinical preparedness education.

We provide financial assistance to cover veterinary evaluations, behavioral and medical assessments, and family-unit support following animal exposure to, or harm from, psychedelic substances. No family should bear the unmitigated cost of animal care for injuries that have occurred because of the lack of risk reduction actions by regulatory authorities.

This fund also provides strategic financial support to address immediate medical and health needs in cases of animal neglect or abuse associated with psychedelic substances.
